MUMBAI | BANGALORE: After a flurry of private label launches in the last three years to improve profit margins and challenge established brands through better displays and lower prices, several big retailers have now cut launches to consolidate their portfolio. Retailers such as Aditya Birla Retail's More, Reliance Retail, RPG's Spencer's Retail and Dubai-based Landmark Group's Spar Hypermarket have launched fewer products in 2010 than in 2009 and plan to slow down further this year.
