(LIAA) is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Economy of Latvia and has been responsible for Latvian trade and investment promotion for almost 20 years now. In 2009, LIAA was ranked by the World Bank as the 7th best national Investment Promotion Agency in the world.

LIAA offers potential investors as well as companies looking for suppliers or contracted manufacturers in Latvia, one-stop-shop services free of charge. Examples of what we can do for you are 1) providing assistance in finding appropriate Latvian suppliers and or contracted manufacturers in Latvia 2) providing assistance in the selection process for investment locations and implementation of investment projects 3) follow-up and support after implementation of investment or sub-contracting projects. LIAA is an internationally oriented organization with strong local roots. International because we have 11 representative offices in eleven countries that can help you opening your window to Latvia United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Lithuania, Norway, Russia and Japan. Local because we have the knowledge and the network to help you getting started in Latvia. We provide information about the business environment and business opportunities in Latvia, we can give you pointers towards finding relevant legislation, the taxation system, etc. But most importantly we can get you in touch with potential business partners, help you in selecting appropriate ones and arrange visiting programmes once mutual interest has been expressed.
